COLD DAYS IS HERE

Dealing With Cold In Adults And Children

Hello! Hope everyone is doing good! Now lets talk about the weather and how we cope with it. To me, coping with the weather is not all about covering up well especially the kids, its about monitoring the changes in their appetite and breathing as the colder months draw near so I try to give them fruits reach in vitamin C like oranges/tangerines, kiwi, pineapples etc. We try to get our body ready for what is to come so it does not hit us hard, that doesnt mean one cant catch a cold by eating fruits rich in vitamins....its just a shield so to say...hahaha.

I have home made cough and cold drink I learnt from a friend which magically helps calm the stuffy nose and chest especially at night while sleeping. The drink is for adults and children...it does help. I'll be sharing the recipe and how to make it, very quick and easy in my next post. Lots of love and best wishes from my family to you all!

Banana Orange Cake.

This cake was made with love a product of 2020 lockdown. It's being a crazy year so far but I decided I'll stay positive, strong and productive as we wait to see what will come out of year 2020. I'm so happy to share this delicious orange flavour banana cake here. Let me know if you try this recipe, I'm sure you'll love it just like my family and I did x • In making this recipe you have to make sure everything you need is set and ready to go. • Minimal mixing is required to get a good result. • Try NOT to hip the flour in the measuring cup, scooping in the flour into the cup with a spoon and level out the top. • You can use any other oil you prefer but not flavoured oil as this will take away from the take and flavour of the cake after baking. RECIPE. 2+1/2 cups self raising flour.  1/4 cup cornflour.  1 tsp baking powder.  1 tsp baking soda.  1/4 tsp salt. 1 cup caster sugar.  4 very ripe bananas. 3 eggs. 1/2 cup melted butter + 1/2 cup sunflower oil 1 tsp vani...

FESTIVE INSPIRED SERIES 3

Here is one of the most sought after Nigerian delicacy loved by all. It is one of my favourite local delicacies which I almost gave up trying to prepare because its difficult to find natural unrefined Red oil in the UK which gives the dish its peculiar taste...so rich and delicious. This is Abacha made from Cassava served with oven grilled suya spiced(used Foodace suya spice) Sea bass, red onions, cucumber, lettuce and a bottle of cold Malt drink. This delicacy is a winner this Christmas, look out for it anytime you visit Nigeria and thank me later. Abacha ncha Grilled suya spiced Sea bass served with fried Plantain and a bowl of fresh Salad. Made this for my husband on his birthday and he loved it.
EASY PUFF PASTRY RECIPE This recipe came about after I tried the usual folding method and found it tedious. I needed something quick, easy and less stressful. All you need is 4 ingredients to make a flaky delicious puff pastry for sausage rolls or pies. The most important tip is to make sure your ingredients are very cold, it helps a lot with this method.                                                                     INGREDIENTS. 250g Unsalted Butter (cut butter into small chunks, spread out on a lined baking tray and freeze overnight) 2 1/2 Cups Plain flour Pinch of salt 1/2 cup chilled milk 1 egg                                                        ...
